Aleksandra Rudzka-Dziekan

Tech Lead

''Nationale-Nederlanden is a great place to grow, both professionally and personally”

Early Discoveries

I graduated from Computer Science at the Warsaw University of Technology. During my studies, I met fantastic people with whom I am still friends. That’s when I started to realize the importance of strong relationships.

My first job was as an IT Analyst in an insurance company – the chemistry between me and the financial and insurance industry appeared immediately. On the one hand, there is a complex business domain and new technologies; on the other, there is a human being – a customer we protect in difficult life situations.

Very early in my career, I noticed that both people and technology - but especially people - are great motivators for work.

Embracing Opportunities

Having found the career and industry I wanted to specialize in, I joined Nationale-Nederlanden, starting as IT Analyst and discovered that the company gives great opportunities for development—I am a great example of this. Over the past eight years, I have experienced tremendous growth, moving through four different roles until reaching my current position as Tech Lead and Manager of IT Teams.

Now, I lead four Scrum Teams that support three sales channels as we develop and maintain two policies and one sales system. Nationale-Nederlanden has enabled me to develop my managerial competencies, and I am incredibly grateful for this.

Leading with People at the Heart

In my job at Nationale-Nederlanden, I have the pleasure of managing committed and responsible people who are focused on goals and close cooperation. The relationship we have built with our business partners greatly enhances our daily work. We do not see ourselves merely as an IT supplier; instead, we work side by side with our clients as partners, creating and proposing ideas for business development.

Within my team, we have cultivated an atmosphere of trust and mutual support. We communicate honestly and have the courage to make decisions, even the difficult ones. Our work culture thrives on dynamic collaboration while providing space for independence, experimentation, and even making mistakes. That’s how we continue to grow as individuals and as a team.

The Perfect Balance

I have come to understand that to perform well and take care of my team and clients, I must also take care of myself and my family. I am a wife and mother of 3-year-old Zosia, and every day, I learn how to balance professional duties with personal life because I really like spending time with my family, and my work gives me great satisfaction.

I also make time to do something for others, so once a year, during Christmas, I organize a charity event to support children from low-income families. For several years, I have been involved in this initiative with my friends and the IT team from Nationale-Nederlanden – it is a beautiful opportunity to do something good together.

An Invitation

I am proud to work at a company that shares my values and puts people first. Therefore, I extend this invitation to you: come and join us at Nationale-Nederlanden, where you can develop your strengths and take part in exciting and innovative projects. Nationale-Nederlanden is a great place to grow, both professionally and personally, and I am confident you will find it as fulfilling as I have.
