You are responsible for the smooth operation of our SaaS back-office application and its integration with other applications. This is essential for supporting our mortgage customers.

What you are going to do

As a DevOps Engineer, you ensure that outages are prevented. If an outage occurs, you are the person who resolves it by making adjustments to the configuration of the SaaS applications and coding integration functionality. You also work on automating our processes to improve the quality of our services and make management more efficient. Throughout the year, new features are added. You determine and test the impact of these new features to ensure everything runs smoothly.

  • As a DevOps Engineer, you always do all these things with the mindset that we want to provide the best experience for our mortgage customers.
  • Preventing and resolving functional and technical incidents
  • Ensuring we have full control over our functional back-office processes
  • Reducing manual work through automation and digitalization, such as automating regression testing and programming
  • Ensuring we work in compliance with internal and external regulations suitable for a bank, such as legal and security requirements

Who you are

As a DevOps Engineer, you work closely with our SaaS provider and implement their solutions. We are looking for someone who enjoys tackling unexpected situations and improving them functionally and technically. You are always looking for ways to improve processes through automation and the use of process data, so that your colleagues are better able to provide excellent service to our customers. Additionally, you currently reside in the Netherlands.

You also bring:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in backend software development
  • Experience with TypeScript/Javascript and NodeJS-based applications is a plus

  • Knowledge of Splunk, SQL, and automation tools is a plus
  • Proficiency in Dutch is a plus, and you also have sufficient command of the English language
  • Experience in a financial/mortgage environment or with the Ohpen Platform is a nice-to-have

Who you will work with

As a DevOps Engineer, you are part of a team of 6-9 colleagues, collaborating with DevOps Engineers, Customer Journey specialists, and data specialists from other teams within the domain. You are not only responsible for building the software but also for its management, meaning you are involved from start to finish in the entire software development process and are collectively responsible with your team for the quality of the software.

You and your team members are accountable for the team's results and are not afraid to make mistakes, share them, and learn from them, which happens in an agile manner. The team meets at least twice a week at the Rotterdam office to collaborate and strengthen as a team.
