In a digitized world, customer expectations are changing rapidly. The demand for real-time, reliable, and always available financial products is increasing. This also impacts the way NN (and its subsidiaries) interact with our customers and the products we want and need to deliver. Performance and availability are crucial to provide a valued customer experience and offer (digital) products that our customers love. As a Business Process Manager - Monitoring, Event Management, and Observability Enablement, you play a crucial role in this.

What you are going to do

As BPM Monitoring, Event Management, and Observability Enablement, you are responsible for the development and implementation of the necessary processes around the observability platform that enables automatic (chain) monitoring, dashboarding, and alerting for Digital Products. With this platform, Product Owners can increase predictability by quickly identifying and resolving potential issues that may arise. To support our customers, Service Mapping capabilities are provided, allowing for a comprehensive overview of IT services, applications, and infrastructure throughout the value chain.

Additionally, you are responsible for designing and implementing the Monitoring & Event Management process and establishing guidelines for related KPIs.

Your impact
You are the owner of the Monitoring and Event Management process and have a vision on how we should implement observability as a whole within NN. You help NN Group enable end-to-end monitoring of its value chains. The ITIL process "Monitoring & Event Management" plays a significant role in this. This global process is still in its infancy within NN, leaving plenty of room for improvements in its design and implementation. Are you someone who can elevate the team and the organization to a higher maturity level with your knowledge, vision, experience, and drive? Then apply now.

What we offer you
NN invests in an inclusive, inspiring work environment and in skills and competences for the future. We match this with employee benefits that are in line with what is needed today and in the future. This way, we offer our employees the opportunity to get the best out of themselves. We offer you:

  • Salary between €4,414 and €6,306 depending on your knowledge and experience, based on a 40-hour work week
  • 13th month and holiday allowance are paid with your monthly salary
  • 27 vacation days for a 5-day working week and one Diversity Day
  • A modern pension administered by BeFrank
  • Plenty of training and learning opportunities
  • NS Business Card 2nd class, which gives you unlimited travel, also privately. Do you prefer to travel with your own transport? Then you can declare the kilometers travelled
  • Allowances for setting up your home office and for internet use

Who you are

You like to make an impact by adding value to your team and their work. To ensure everything runs smoothly, you communicate very clearly: you ask questions, listen well, and explain things clearly. You seamlessly align with the agile way of working to the product and the vision. Moreover, you have:

  • HBO/WO level of education: based on a clear goal, you know how to implement best-in-class solutions
  • You are results-oriented, can distinguish between main and side issues, prioritize solution quality, and bring creativity to the approach of complex problems
  • You have a strong sense of perseverance and contagious enthusiasm to bring others into the world of observability
  • You have at least 3 years of related work experience in the monitoring area. Preferably, you also have the necessary knowledge and experience in designing, building, and delivering the Monitoring & Event Management process at a similar organization
  • Knowledge of and experience with tools such as ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM and Splunk

Who you will work with

Together with your colleagues from the Process Foundation team and the Observability Platform team, you will build the product and provide support to all Product Owners and DevOps teams within NN Group. Additionally, you will collaborate extensively with the Product Owner of Process Control and the Manager of the Master Control Room in Prague to develop a roadmap, define the strategy, and implement improvements. Lastly, you will work closely with the Engineering Manager to build an empowered team with the right competencies and knowledge.

The majority of our team works from The Hague, and the primary language is English. As a team, we are the face of observability towards the organization, which puts some pressure on our shoulders. Therefore, a drink and a team activity from time to time are very welcome. We are open to your enthusiasm and initiative. Will you come and strengthen us with your ideas and team spirit?
