Who are we
The Managed IAAS team is responsible for delivering Managed IAAS services to the NN Group via on-prem and cloud platforms.
The on-prem Private Cloud platform is the base platform on which the Managed IAAS services are being delivered. The on-prem platform will be migrate into a Hybrid cloud platform in the near future enabling our services in the AWS Cloud. The team delivers a fully compliant and secure server which complies with all NN compliancy and security standards. The server can either be a Windows or Linux workload. On top of the MIAAS service the customers can request Day2 operational activities which contains database (SQL and Oracle) administrator tasks and middleware (Java Hosting).
As an Infrastructure Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting our internal customers in achieving their business goals. You will be responsible for the coordination of the operational activities carried out by the Managed Services Team. The operationalities concern solving incidents, implement changes and execute customer support requests. You are the first Point of Contact for our customers for all operational management point of view. You will closely cooperate with the other Managed IAAS Product Owners improving our Digital Products. Your drive and vision will be critical in ensuring that there is a constant focus on driving operational efficiency, security, compliancy and improving the delivery of services to the Business Units. You will help and guide the engineers in your team to develop themselves in the area of Managed IAAS. You are HR responsible for the team and you truly enjoy helping engineers to grow professionally and as a human being.
What you are going to do
The Managed Services Team in CZ is a team which has to be built from scratch. Together with an external IT supplier you will be able to build and develop your own team. By combining the role of Product Owner and Engineering Manager you are able to combine both technical knowledge and People management.
Harnessing your own initiative and ambition, you deliver high quality services through:
Manage the Managed Service Team from an operational point of view i.e. create on call schedules, manage the backlog of the team, monitor the dashboards and intervene in case required etc.;
In your Engineering Manager role you are HR responsible for DevOps engineers and you are pivotal in growing and guiding your teams towards better engineering skills (mentoring and coaching)
You are responsible for the competence development of engineers, improvements in the way of working as measured by DORA metrics, and the implementation of good engineering practices that improve the security, availability and maintainability of software
Handling the customer request within agreed SLA’s;
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including development and security to improve the quality of the services delivered by the Managed Service Team and the Private Cloud;
Constantly searching for opportunities to automate manual activities and by doing that improve the quality of our services and increase the speed of delivery to our customers;

Experience as a IT Service Manager or similar, in complex organizations with many different stakeholders.
Experience in HR management and engineering development
Natural leader who influences people's decisions without using power or hierarchy
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Team player, creating an environment where engineers can develop themselves while delivering excellent services to your customers
Familiarity with agile methodologies
Who you will work with
Your teams consist of 14 engineers in total each with their own technical expertise. You are part of the Managed IAAS core team where you, together with the Product Manager, peer PO’s and Domain Architect work on the continuous improvement of the services delivered by the Private Cloud.
Additionally, you report via a dotted line to the Head of Engineering in the Netherlands who will help you in developing the engineers in your team.
